If steep chutes, rock gardens, huge gaps and big drops are what you live for, Jamis' Dakar BAM I is your bike. The 7005 aluminum frame features Jamis' mp3 suspension controlled by a Fox DHX coil over with 200mm of terrain-swallowing travel. Similar big travel graces the front, Marzocchi soaks up the bumps with the 66 RCV fork that has 180mm of smooth travel and a 1.5-inch steerer for a stiff front end that picks your line like a sniper. The BAM rolls on a set of burly WTB hoops wrapped with Maxxis DH tires and is controlled by Avid Elixir discs with 8-inch rotors. Plus, this brawler comes with SRAM gears, an e.13 chainguide on stiff FSA cranks and a suite of rugged Syncros components for all your freeride needs.
Where others bail out, you step up aboard Jamis' Dakar BAM II. This big rig boasts a tough aluminum frame with 200mm of trail-taming travel delivered by Fox's pro-caliber DHX RC4 shock.
