Bontrager Race X Lite Rear Wheel (700c)
Details
Transform your road bike with Bontrager's Race X Lite Front Wheel. These 23mm-wide high-tech hoops are light, stiff and durable to deliver excellent acceleration and ride quality. To further enhance both those attributes, going tubeless is a snap with the included TLR rim strip and valve. And, the cartridge bearing hub rolls smooth and fast and features DT Swiss star ratchet internals for quick engagement and reliable action.
These Tubeless-Ready wheels come with a special rim strip to seal the spoke bed and a presta valve. With a Tubeless-Ready tire and sealant (sold separately) you can roll without tubes for less flats, lower tire pressure, and better cornering. Plus, you'll shave rotational weight, so your bike will feel lighter and more responsive.

Comments:
One of the best wheelsets I own. The wheels are lightweight and climb great. TYhey are wide which makes for a very comfy ride especially if you mount 25mm or even 28mm tires on them. They get speed and hold it effortlessly. I have had people peddle to catch me as I coast downhill. Great wheelset and I recommend it!

Comments:
drive side spoke broke after 450 miles. poorly designed- they are supposed to be straight pull- but they are actually at a slight angle to put stress un-evenly on head. Last Bontrager wheels I will ever buy. previous ones had rims crack. Do not buy if you have any muscle mass because these wheels are only going to last if you are a light rider.

Comments:
Nice complement to my Project One built Silque, paired with Bontrager R3 tires. Cycle rather aggressively, some racing, and alot of road biking. Wheels are light, but firm on the road, handle well, responsive, smooth roll, as stated by another, the bladed spokes are a plus as well. Durable - wheel held up from an unfortunate fall from a friend's bike rack onto the highway, a few damaged spokes as they hit a pedal on another racked bike, but absolutely NO damage to the wheel!! They have lived up to their recommendations from my well known & respected bike shop and a few racing friends! Great value for the money, great ride!

These wheels are so so nice! Such a wonderful upgrade to any road bike. Mine are set up tubeless with R3 25mm wide tires and WOW do they roll smooth and silk. Lightweight, stiff, and durable wheelset. Highly recommended if you wish to upgrade to road tubeless.

Comments:
I own a Madone 5.2 so investing the money for carbon aero wheels just did not make sense. I ride in the neighborhood of 3,000+ miles per year and like most serious riders, appreciate a bike that responds when I decide to put the hammer down. I decided to go buy the RXL's because they were light weight, tubeless ready and...well...Bontrager! These wheels did not disappoint. I felt the weight savings and responsiveness right away. When you stand on it, the bike jumps and goes. They are not true aero wheels but the bladed spokes are a nice balance. It was the best upgrade for the money I could have made. The rims are slightly wider to give more rubber contact and tubeless is definitely the way to go. I used to build my own wheels and remember having to true them a few times after the first riding them until they were broken in. The RXL's are as true as the day they came out of the box. Solid braking surface. Cannot say a bad word about these wheels. They are a great buy!
