Continental Grand Prix Attack/Force Combo
Details
Front and rear tires have to do very different things, so why should they be the same? The front-specific Attack features a sticky tread compound that assures high-speed cornering confidence, while the 22mm width and 4-ply casing cheat the wind and the scale. Because the rear is responsible for driving you forward and it bears more weight than the front, the rear-specific Force uses a hard compound and a 5-ply, 23mm casing for extended life. Put the two together and you have an excellent balance of function, weight and tread life.
Size: 700 x 22c (Attack); 700 x 23c (Force)
Continental's Black Chili rubber compound significantly improves wear, traction and rolling resistance through the use of carbon nanotechnology, microscopic carbon particles in the rubber. These mold better to the ground and have more points of contact, which gives the tire more grip. And, because the compound matrix is formed of more particles, which are connected more tightly with each other, the tire lasts longer. Plus, the smaller particles are more flexible, too, which improves rolling resistance.
