Details
Few things beat chromoly's durability and beautiful ride quality, and few bikes show this off better than the Jamis Dragon Comp's Reynolds 631 chassis. Up front, RockShox' Tora fork offers 100mm of tunable travel with a lockout for climbing and smooth trails. Shimano's quick-shifting SLX/XT components give you all the gears you need, and the WTB wheels roll fast over any terrain. Plus, the Shimano discs offer great stopping power and modulation. And Ritchey provides a whole spread of their aluminum components for maximum fun out on the trail.
Thanks to a treatment called air hardening, the strength-to-weight ratio of Reynolds 631 chromoly actually equals that of quality titanium. While normal chromoly loses strength at the joints after welding, due to air hardening, 631 actually increases in strength. This creates a stiffer frame with excellent fatigue strength and a phenomenal ride.
