Details
You'll scorch race courses and singletrack aboard Jamis' Dragon Pro. Its lightweight Reynolds 853 chromoly frame is wonderfully smooth and efficient for top-notch handling, climbing and acceleration. And, the 100mm-travel Fox fork includes lockout for maximum power when the ground's smooth. Shimano's stellar XT components deliver crisp, smooth shifting, and the XT discs stop on a dime and give you change. Other great features include the lightweight Mavic rims, always on-point Ritchey stem, bar, and seatpost, plus fast Geax tires.
Thanks to a treatment called air hardening, the strength-to-weight ratio of Reynolds 853 chromoly actually equals that of quality titanium. While normal chromoly loses strength at the joints after welding, due to air hardening, 853 actually increases in strength. This creates a stiffer frame with excellent fatigue strength and a phenomenal ride.
