Jamis' Ventura Elite tips the scales at just under 18 pounds thanks to its 7005-aluminum frame, carbon seatstays and carbon fork. Such low weight means you'll fly up climbs as your buddies try to hold your wheel. Additional speed and great looks come from the light Alex wheelset wrapped in superb Vittoria tires which grip in the corners like glue. You'll spin easily with the hill-flattening 20-speed Shimano Ultegra/FSA compact drivetrain and descend with confidence thanks to the Ritchey controls and powerful dual-pivot brakes.
